KIRSEHIR

According to historians, Kirsehirman once have been knovvn as "Pannassos" or "Makissös". During teh period ofthe Hittises, the basin of kirsehir was named as "Ahlyuvva" country. This basin also took the name "Kapadokya" at the time of the Romans and Byzantium.

Kirsehir was a halting place pn roads which had lost their importance in the middle of the XIXth century. It had been a small sanjak depending on Konya. In the second half of the XIXth century Konya became of Nigde and then of Ankara.
